The Lady Paramount 2020

‘The Lady Paramount’, is the title given to a female mistress of ceremonies, ‘the supreme arbiter’ the judge. Archery is a sport connected to women- both in ancient and contemporary times. The soundtrack is one lullaby taken from a collection of lullabies sung by women asked to recall the ‘work of early motherhood. In recognition of the processes of both inner and outer transformation taking place during that time, ‘the work required to sustain human life and raise future generations’, the film focuses on repetition, on practice and on beginnings and endings.
